Cleitext now has a catalog of plugins and themes. Open Plugins → Add New or Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme, search, and install with one click, as you would in WordPress.

What is in it
- SEO, Forms and Hi John, included in every install
- Multilingual, Privacy & GDPR, Analytics and the Catalog showcase
- The Canvas theme of this site, and Pulsar, a dark landing theme
The whole list is on the Plugins and Themes pages, which follow the catalog by themselves.
Verified before installing
The catalog is an index signed with Ed25519, published on GitHub. Cleitext checks the signature and then the SHA-256 of each package: if anything does not match, nothing is installed. Packages you upload by hand still work, with a clear warning.
Updates where you see them
Only what you need
A fresh install of Cleitext is small on purpose: SEO, Forms and Hi John are included, the rest comes from the catalog when you need it. A site in one language does not carry the code of the Multilingual plugin, and a site without analytics does not load a single tracking script. Each plugin declares the permissions it needs, and you see them before activating it. Removing a plugin is just as easy, and its settings go with it.
Developers can publish their own plugins too: the plugin SDK is documented, and a package is a zip with a manifest. The official catalog, for now, lists the plugins and themes made with Cleitext itself, so that every package in it is reviewed and signed by the same people who make the CMS.
Themes work the same way: install one, activate it, and switch back in a click if you change your mind. Its settings wait in Appearance → Customize, with a live preview.
When a new version of an installed plugin or theme is out, an “Update to…” button appears next to it, in the Updates page, and as a count in the menu.
