Anyone with a site knows the story: one morning the comments are full of links to pharmacies, the contact form sends you dozens of messages in languages you do not speak, and someone keeps trying passwords on the sign-in page. They are not people: they are programs that roam the web filling every form they find.
One plugin, every form
The new Captcha plugin, free in the catalog, puts a check in front of every form of the site. You choose the service: Cloudflare Turnstile, which most visitors never even notice, or Google reCAPTCHA. You enter the keys once, in one place, and you decide which forms to protect.
- The sign-in to the admin, lost and new password
- Visitor accounts and sign-up
- Comments
- Contact forms, the shop’s checkout and page builder forms
- Trusted addresses, such as your office, skip the check
- A failsafe: if one service is down, the other takes over
Safe by design
The plugin never sees your password: it only receives the answer of the check. If something goes wrong with the keys, one command turns it off and you are back in. And like every update of Cleitext, this release is tested at every change: updating does not break your site.
