The AI chat in the admin: your provider, your rules

Write requests in the admin and let the site’s AI do the work, with the provider and the model you choose.

Not everyone has an AI assistant at hand. That is why Cleitext also has an AI chat right in the admin: you write the request, the site does the work with the same tools an external assistant would use, and you see every step.

The AI chat writes a page with blocks

Choose the provider

A super admin sets the provider once, in AI assistants: any service with an OpenAI-compatible API works, such as OpenAI, OpenRouter, Mistral, or Ollama running on your own server. Pick a model that can use tools. The key is stored encrypted and never shown again.

Ready requests

Next to the chat there is a list of requests that work well: an About us page, a 500-word post, a translation, a FAQ section, a new menu. One click puts them in the chat; change the words in brackets and send.

You stay in charge

  • Drafts by default: tick “It may also publish” only when you want
  • The chat acts with your permissions, never more
  • Each answer links to the preview and to the editor
  • The cost is billed by the provider to your key, not by Cleitext

An example

Write: “Create a Services page with three cards, one per service, and a button to the contact page.” The chat reads the guide of the theme, looks for the patterns of the site, writes the page and tells you what it did, with links to the preview and to the editor. Each step is shown as it happens: which tools it used, which pages it read. If the result is close but not quite, keep talking: the chat remembers the conversation, and the draft improves at each answer.

The chat is for editors too, not only for administrators. An author can ask for drafts of posts, a translator for translations, and each of them only touches what their role allows. The provider settings stay with the super admin, so nobody else sees the key or changes the model by mistake.

Already using ChatGPT or Cursor? You can also connect your own assistant to the site.
