What’s new in Cleitext 0.33

Administrators can update the accounts of their team, the editor opens the settings of the block you select, text colours survive the move from WordPress, and every plugin has its own page.

A new version of Cleitext is out. Here is what changes for you, in plain words. Sites with automatic updates already have it; the others find it in Updates.

Take care of your team’s accounts

Someone forgot their password, or changed their email? Now an administrator opens Users, clicks the person and fixes it: name, email, language, a short bio and a new password. When the password changes, the person is signed out everywhere, and an email tells them what changed, at the old and at the new address.

Some accounts stay protected on purpose: your own account is changed from your profile, nobody can change someone with more permissions than they have, and a person who also works on other sites of the same installation is changed only by them or by a super admin.

The editor follows you

Click a block, and the side panel opens its settings by itself, as WordPress users expect. Click outside, and you are back to the settings of the page.

New plugins and better ones

  • Prisma, design blocks with a live preview: sections with backgrounds and waves, headings, images, info boxes, buttons and galleries
  • Widgets: the magazine layout of recent posts gets a compact list, the main post on the left, and adapts to narrow columns
  • The WordPress importer keeps maps and custom HTML, text colours and the colours of your palette

A page for every plugin

On this site, every plugin of the catalog now has its own page, which explains in simple words what it does and how to start. Open the plugins and click any box.
