Two new versions of Cleitext are out. Sites with automatic updates already have them; the others find them in Updates. And, as you will read, updating is now even safer.
Classic Editor
Not everyone loves blocks. Classic Editor is a new free plugin with the editor WordPress had before them: a white page, a row of familiar buttons, the Visual and Text tabs and Add Media. What you write is still saved as blocks, so you can switch a page back at any time and nothing is lost.
Convert Editors
Built your pages with one page builder and now want another? Convert Editors moves pages and posts between the block editor, Classic Editor, Fresco and Vitality Builder, many at a time. It shows first what is kept, then converts; every conversion can be undone from the page’s Revisions.
Updates that never break the site
Each new version of Cleitext is now started and tried on the side before it replaces the running one: if it does not answer, your site simply stays as it is. A plugin or theme update that does not start goes back to the previous version by itself. We wrote a whole article about it.
And also
- The admin menu is ordered like WordPress: Profile and Add New User under Users, and Redirects, Structure, Activity, System status and Sites under the new Tools
- On a site with one website, administrators can install plugins and themes, as in WordPress
- Fresco keeps texts, columns, captions and links when a page goes back to blocks
- Vitality shows related posts under each post, and its masonry reads left to right, newest first
- Sitemaps no longer use the old browser stylesheet that Chrome is retiring
