When people move from Elementor, they do not ask whether Fresco looks similar. They ask: “Can I do the same things?” To answer honestly, we opened Elementor and Fresco side by side and went through them panel by panel, setting by setting, writing down every difference. Then we filled the gaps in three rounds of work. The result is Fresco 2.5 and Fresco Pro 2.7: today, what you do with Elementor, you do with Fresco.
First round: an editor that feels right
The page in the editor is now exactly as wide as on your site, dragging a piece no longer makes the page jump, and you can type straight on the page in boxes, lists, tabs, counters and testimonials. Every piece got the Transform section, to rotate, move, scale or tilt it, also when the mouse is over it, plus borders and shadows that change on hover.

- Grids with separate row and column gaps, and pieces that span several cells
- 18 shape dividers, background slideshows and 40 entrance animations
- Fresco Pro: forms with file uploads and full emails, loops of posts you pick or the current list, popups with several triggers, 36 dynamic tags, a gallery with filters, your own icon sets
Second round: your style, everywhere
Site settings are now complete: text and headings, links, buttons, pictures and form fields, background, page width and lightbox. Set them once and every Fresco page follows. The editor got ready-made layouts, a dark theme, global widgets in their own tab, and “paste from another site” to bring a section from one Cleitext site to another.

- 27 hover animations, text outline and shadow, overlays with filters
- More options for buttons, images, tabs, accordions, carousels and videos
- Fresco Pro: popup rules (who, how often, from where), templates shown by author or category, motion effects per device, a richer mega menu, search with live results, mailing lists with tags and double opt-in
Third round: templates, order and teamwork
The template library now has search, rename, import and export, and a preview on computer, tablet and phone before you insert anything. Drag pictures from your computer straight onto the page. Floating chat buttons and the “link in bio” page are now free. The Element manager shows where each widget is used and turns off the ones you never need, and Safe mode opens the editor with Fresco alone if another plugin gets in the way.

Fresco Pro brings Notes: leave a comment on any element, reply, mark it done, and mention a colleague with @ to send them an email. With Cleishop, the shop widgets let you design your own product page (title, price, pictures, add to cart, tabs, related products) plus cart, checkout and a mini cart in the header. PayPal and Stripe buttons gained more options, and Stripe Checkout uses your own account.

Moving from Elementor
All of this also matters if your site is on WordPress with Elementor today. The WordPress importer turns Elementor pages into Fresco pages, and it learned every new setting of these three rounds: transforms, hover effects, animations, grids, shape dividers, slideshows, site settings. Your pages arrive looking like the original, not an approximation of it.
- In WordPress, export the site with Tools → Export
- In Cleitext, install Fresco and the WordPress importer from the catalog, then upload the file
- Global colors and fonts, breakpoints, theme style and logo come along by themselves
- With Fresco Pro, headers, footers, popups and global widgets come too, with their conditions
And once you are here, updates stop being a worry. Every change to Fresco and Cleitext is tested at every change, and Cleitext tries each update before applying it: your pages stay exactly as they are, and the new options are simply there to use.
