Sliders anyone can make, that look like a pro made them

A Diorama slider at the top of a B&B home page

Two ways, one editor

Quick when you are in a hurry, precise when you care

We studied the best-known slider plugins and kept what works, without the complexity.

Ready in two minutes

Pick several photos at once, write a title, a line and a button for each: your slider is done.

Layers you can drag

Headings, texts, buttons, images, icons and shapes, placed right on the slide, with undo and redo.

Made for phones

Every layer can have its own size and place on tablet and phone, or hide there. No more text off the screen.

Backgrounds that move

Photos with a focal point, colours, gradients, videos and the slow Ken Burns zoom, with entrance effects and smooth transitions.

Fast pages

A tiny script only where a slider is, pictures sized for each screen, and no jump while the page loads.

For everyone

Keyboard, a pause button, screen readers and the “reduce motion” preference, all respected out of the box.

From your photos

A slider in two minutes

Choose a few pictures from the library, write a title, a line and a button for each one, and press Create. That is all it takes for a home page that welcomes people with your best photos.

  • Every word is optional: a photo alone is fine
  • The button can open a page, a post or any address

Templates

Start from a design that works

Ten ready-made sliders for a hero, a restaurant, a shop sale, testimonials, a portfolio, an event, a hotel and more. Pick one, then change words and pictures: the layout is already right on every screen.

The editor

Click, change, see it at once

Slides on the left, the slide in the middle, its settings on the right. Click a title to rewrite it, drag a button where you want it, choose a colour or a font: the slide changes while you work.

  • Headings, texts, buttons, images, icons and shapes
  • Entrance effects, Ken Burns zoom and smooth transitions
  • Undo and redo, and a preview before you publish

Phones

Made to look good on a phone

Switch to tablet or phone and set size and place of each layer just for that screen, or hide it there. Most visitors arrive from a phone: your slider is ready for them.

Get started

Ready in a few minutes

Install it

In Plugins → Add New, find Diorama, then click Install and Activate.

Start a slider

Open Diorama in the admin, press New slider and start from your photos or from a template.

Make it, place it

Make your slider in Diorama, then add it with the Slider block, the Fresco widget or a shortcode.

You need Cleitext 0.72 or later.

Questions

Is Diorama really free?

Yes. The free version keeps one slider per site, with as many slides as you like, every effect and every template. Diorama Pro adds more sliders, carousels, popups and more motion.

Where can I put my slider?

In any page or post with the Slider block, in a Fresco page with its widget, or anywhere with a shortcode.

Will it slow down my site?

No. Its small script loads only on pages with a slider, and pictures come in the right size for each screen.

What happens if I move to Diorama Pro later?

Nothing changes on your pages: your slider stays as it is, and the new options appear in the same editor.

Goes well with

Plugins that work well together

Fresco

A visual page builder, free: drag sections and widgets onto the page and style them per device, with site colors and fonts, templates and an atomic mode with classes and variables. Pages stay normal Cleitext entries.

Prisma

Design blocks with a live preview in the editor: containers with backgrounds and shape dividers, headings, images with masks, info boxes, buttons and image galleries with a lightbox, responsive and animated. Converts Spectra blocks when importing from WordPress.

WordPress Importer

Moves a WordPress site in from the admin: posts, pages, media, categories, tags, menus and authors, with redirects from the old addresses and a report.
