A guest books a room and the confirmation never arrives. A customer asks for a new password and waits. A message from your contact form ends up in spam. Emails sent straight from a web server often go that way, and nobody notices until someone complains. From Cleitext 0.93 there is a simple fix: the new turboSMTP plugin.
Every email of the site, through turboSMTP
turboSMTP is a service made for one thing: delivering emails. With the turboSMTP plugin on, everything your site sends goes through it: password resets, the messages of Forms, the orders of Cleishop, the bookings of Agenda, comment notifications. Nothing else to change: forms and plugins keep working as before, their emails just leave from a better place.
Connected in a minute
Open turboSMTP in the admin and type the email and password of your turboSMTP account: the plugin creates its keys, named after your site, and does not keep the password. If you prefer, paste API keys you made yourself. Then choose the sender, press Send test, and check your inbox.
- turboSMTP’s API, fast and working even where SMTP ports are closed, or its SMTP servers
- European or international servers, your choice
- Keys and passwords stored encrypted, removed with one click on Disconnect
- Statistics in the admin: sent, delivered, opened, clicked and bounced, day by day and message by message
Your site never goes quiet
What if turboSMTP does not answer for a moment? The email still leaves, the usual way, and the turboSMTP page shows you what went wrong. Because the plugin sees every email, password-reset links included, Cleitext asks you to confirm when you activate it: a new kind of permission that only plugins delivering emails need.
turboSMTP for Cleitext is free and made by Cleitext for the turboSMTP service, on the model of turboSMTP’s own WordPress plugin and with the same logo. You need a turboSMTP account to send.
Also new: sign in with your username
Since Cleitext 0.92 you can sign in to the admin with your email or with your username, as in WordPress. Set the username in your profile; sites moved from WordPress get each account’s WordPress username by themselves.
As every part of Cleitext, turboSMTP is tested at every change, and every update is tried first and rolled back by itself if something goes wrong: updates never break your site.
