Analytics — know your visitors, respect their privacy

Free plugin

Analytics, your visit statistics without the paperwork

Find out how many people visit your site and what they look at. Paste a code, and the plugin takes care of the consent rules for you.

Free and open source. Works together with Privacy & GDPR.

Analytics

What it does for you

The services you already use, in one place

Turn on only the ones you need. No code to copy into the theme.

Matomo, no banner needed

In anonymous mode Matomo uses no cookies, so the Italian Garante allows it without asking for consent, if you set it up as the guide explains.

Google Tag Manager

For those who manage their tags there: choose whether it counts as statistics or marketing.

Meta Pixel

Measure your Facebook and Instagram ads. It waits for the visitor to accept marketing.

Verify your site

Paste the verification code of Google Search Console or Bing to prove the site is yours. No consent needed.

Privacy handled for you

Each service tells the cookie banner what it needs: the right category, its cookies in the table, its description in the privacy policy.

Analytics settings: Matomo, Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and search engines

Settings

Turn on what you use, nothing else

Matomo, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Search Console and Bing: tick the ones you need and paste their code. Each one waits for the visitor’s consent when it should.

Analytics

Nothing to copy by hand

Statistics that wait for a yes

Services that need consent stay off until the visitor accepts. Without Privacy & GDPR active, they are not loaded at all: you can’t get it wrong by mistake.

  • The banner offers the categories your services need
  • Add a service and visitors are asked again
  • Google’s consent mode switched on for Google services
  • The privacy policy describes each service when you recreate it

Get started

Ready in a few minutes

Install it

In Plugins → Add New, find Analytics, then click Install and Activate.

Turn on Privacy & GDPR too

Analytics relies on it for the cookie banner: install and activate it from the same catalog in Plugins.

Connect your services

In Analytics, in the admin menu, turn on the services you use and paste their codes. Then recreate your policy in Privacy → Policies.

Questions

Which one should I choose?

For simple visit counts, Matomo in anonymous mode is the gentlest choice: no cookies and no consent to ask. Choose Google or Meta if you already work with their tools.

Do I need the Privacy & GDPR plugin?

Yes, for the services that need consent: without it they stay off. Matomo in anonymous mode and the Google and Bing verification work anyway.

Where do I see the statistics?

In the service you chose, such as Matomo or Google Analytics: the plugin connects your site to it, it doesn’t show the numbers in the admin.
