Free plugin
Privacy & GDPR, cookies in order without a headache
A cookie banner done the way European rules ask, privacy and cookie policy pages to start from, and a simple place to answer people who ask about their data.
Free and open source. Follows the GDPR and the Italian Garante’s cookie guidelines.

What it does for you
Respect for visitors, peace of mind for you
Visitors decide what to allow. You get a site that only does what they agreed to.
A fair cookie banner
Accept all and Reject all look the same, nothing is ticked in advance, and visitors can choose by category.
Nothing runs too early
Statistics, ads, YouTube videos and maps wait until the visitor says yes, with a short notice in their place.
Policies to start from
Answer a few questions about your site and get privacy and cookie policy drafts in every language, to edit like any page.
Proof of every choice
Every choice is recorded, so you can show what visitors agreed to. You can download the whole log.
“What do you know about me?”
When someone asks for their data, enter their email: download what the site keeps about them, or erase it.
Fits your site
A bar or a box, in your colour, with texts in English and Italian or your own. It also works from the keyboard.

The banner
Clear choices, equal buttons
“Reject all” is as easy as “Accept all”, as the guidelines ask. Until the visitor chooses, statistics, maps and videos wait.

Categories
Yes to some, no to others
Visitors can accept statistics and refuse marketing, and change their mind later with the small button in the corner.

In the admin
Everything in one screen
The banner, the cookies of your services, the policies, data requests and the consent log, in five tabs. Services added by other plugins appear here by themselves.

Always up to date
Visitors can change their mind
A small button in a corner of every page reopens the choices. After six months, or when you add a new service, the banner asks again.
- No optional cookies? No banner at all
- The cookie table in your policy stays in step on its own
- Works with the Analytics plugin: its services are added for you
- A privacy note under the Forms contact form

Install it
In Plugins → Add New, find Privacy & GDPR, then click Install and Activate.
Write your policies
In Privacy → Policies, say who you are and what the site does: the drafts are created for you. Read them, adjust them and publish.
Set up the banner
In Privacy → Cookie banner, choose the categories you use, the look and the texts. Paste there the code of any statistics or ads you use.
Questions
Does it make my site compliant on its own?
It gives you the tools and good drafts, following the GDPR and the Garante’s guidelines. The policies remain yours: read them and make sure they describe your business.
Do I need a banner at all?
Only if the site uses optional cookies, such as statistics or ads. If it only uses technical ones, no banner is shown.
Someone asked me to delete their data. What do I do?
Check it is really them, then enter their email in Privacy → Data requests and choose Erase. For example, their messages from the contact form are deleted. Each request is logged.
What happens if I turn it off?
Settings, records and requests are kept, and they are there when you turn it on again.
